GSO/HNS Awards Nominations

Dear GSO/HNS Member:

As most of you know, the Georgia Society of Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery has established two awards to recognize our colleagues who have made a difference in the field of Otolaryngology. These awards are given out at our annual summer meeting. It is now time to submit nominations for this years award.

Above, you will find links providing established criteria for both awards and a nomination form. If you have more than one individual to nominate, please submit separate applications. Complete the information and send back to the GSO/HNS. For your information, a list of our past award recipients is linked above. The deadline for nominations is March 30, 2009. When all nominations are received, the board of directors of the GSO/HNS will meet and vote on the winners. We want to do this early enough to allow the recipients ample time to plan their attendance at the annual meeting where they will receive their award.

For your information, the annual meeting will take place July 24-26, 2009 at the Kiawah Island Golf Resort in South Carolina.

PLEASE NOTE:

	Both the Brown & Gussack awards may not necessarily have a yearly recipient. The board will base this on the number of nominations received.
	Be sure to nominate your past nominees who have not yet won the award.
	The recipient of the Gussack award does not have to be an otolaryngologist or even a physician (see criteria).

This system of award nominations will give every member the opportunity to recognize someone they feel is deserving of one of these awards.
